Yep, the first one was the train from Trondheim to Oslo.. seven hours? Don't remember exactly, but it was non-stop on one of the NRK channels. No commercials, of course, as it's NRK, but also no other breaks. Some of the time there would be some 'matching' music (w.r.t. lyrics) for parts of the trip, but most of the time only the sound from the train.
It was strangely fascinating. I watched it all. It became a big success, nobody expected that (except possibly the person coming up with the idea, and it's still incredible that management went through with it. Would never happen on a commercial channel I think.)
As for the topic, i.e. unboxing videos, I've concluded that it's indeed rock bottom. Searching for reviews of items on youtube will just lead you to a dude slowly unpacking the thing from the paper box it came in, turning it and the box parts this way and that while talking slowly, all completely pointless.
(Edit: I see that I essentially wrote this last paragraph in my first reply to this thread, a couple of pages and 1.5 years back)
I refuse to watch unboxing videos or any other videos that waste my my time.
I equally dislike tutorial videos with loud heavy music while the person is typing in NOTEPAD with the directions. Those get a thumbs down and then get shut down immediately.

+ 1 Anything with loud music is shut down in seconds.

If you love trains and scenery, and value your time, do not search "cabview" on YouTube.

Would that be ROCK bottom?
Would civilization come to an end?
Would it make a black hole? Over Unity?
On a train, in the rain? Without a box, but with a fox?
Had a lead toxicity test done lately? Watch those solder fumes.

What if it's loud, obnoxious AND amazingly riddled with distortion?
