Myke Predko, of the TAB Robot kit, is at Mimetics in Canada. His $299 treaded Jade robot looks interesting.

    You can definitely tell it's by the same designer. He has a certain style of not he likes to build.

    Wow, that takes the prize for the slowest web page I have seen this week.

    200 odd HTML requests before it can display anything!

    Then another 200 requests as it gets into action 30 seconds later.

    Credit for the Tab robot, one or both, also goes to Ben Wirz.

    Solarbotics sells those (or similar) tank treads, but be forewarned they're pretty expensive.

    That takes the prize for the slowest website I've ever seen!
    I would say so to, except I made one myself recently that is slower. But then my page has the excuse of downloading 20MB worth of JSON model data and rendering a 3D scene from it.

    Not such a slow load here. 'Bout 10 seconds.

    That said, I do like the 'bot. Treads!!!!

    @ Gordon - it there where just some place where you could get a robot on a budget...
