Free Shipping Weekend and the Saleae 8 channel logic analyzer

Parallax is having a free shipping weekend and I'm thinking this might be a good time to buy one of the Saleae 8 channel logic analyzers (https://www.parallax.com/product/32308). I have the old Saleae 8 channel logic analyzers and I've found it very handy. This one looks like it's a lot faster and hence would probably be even more useful for high frequency signals. Does anyone have experience with the newer models? Is it worth the upgrade?

The nice thing about the new Saleae is that it has analog channel(s) so you can see what your signals actually look like. The not-so-nice thing is that you need USB 3.0 to use the analog channels above 25 Mega-samples-per-second.

Edit: David's post just below corrects me. The "non-pro" needs only USB2. IMO, the sample rate is pretty limited.

I just looked at the Saleae site and it seems that only the Pro versions need or can make use of USB 3.0 and they aren't the ones Parallax is selling. The 8 channel Pro unit costs $479 as well which is really out of my budget.
