Leonardo da Vinci was not only an artistic genius, architect, scientist and inventor. He was an honest to goodness Renaissance Roboticist! He essentially designed mechanical devices that were "programmable" using interchangeable cams. Worth wasting some "Googling" time on...

Here is a link to a post on my blog about connecting da Vinci's robotic knight with the robotic's club at my children's school. Their mascot is the Warriors and they use a knight... By the way, they have a really good robotic's club... It is a Catholic school, but maybe they need a little Episcopal support!

    Agreed, I could see him becoming fixated on doing robot figure 8's, and how a sideways 8 is also the symbol of infinity...
