Looking for 1/10th scale RC Rock Crawling Truck to hack
Anyone know of a decent but inexpensive 1:10th scale rock climbing RC truck?
Brushless optional
Lipo/nimh optional
Can be slow
Must be 4x4
Must use a servo for steering
Must hold at least 10oz payload
I don't need radio gear
Used, new, or ideas are welcome and most appreciated. I've looked at a few used for robomagellan and similar events. The few I saw that are still made are over $200, I was hoping for under $100. I also have a few calls out to people selling locally on craigslist but from the pics I can tell they are severely beaten expensive models that will probably need parts.

It's available on eBay for $150 shipped.
That one looks good for $150, but it looks like it has no differentials - just live axles. There will always be scrubbing while turning.

I think I found a good inbetween. Traxxas makes the Stampede 1/10 4x4, and I can get the bare frame and drive train - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Traxxas-1-10-Stampede-4X4-Roller-W-Complete-Drivetrain-And-Suspension-/151520289068?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item234750212c
The good thing about this is it is a lot higher quality than what I was looking at, and also as mentioned the one I was looking at has locked axles. The bad is that is costs more now, I'm sure in the long run it will cost less so I better just bite the bullet.
This way I can decide on the ESC and motor and use my radio.
Over a year ago I started a tracked robot to make a mobile point-n-shoot camera rig. It was expensive, too noisy, not weather resistant and ended in frustration. This time I need to get it right. I figure my max payload is around 10 oz. Propeller, FPV camera, IR illuminator, vtx, OSD, GPS, Canon S100 camera and maybe some LEDs.
