Who'd have thunk that claw games are rigged, and there are adjustable settings for that?

I've known about this for a while. I saw a video on YouTube where they discussed watching a claw machine being played to determine what the settings were. Once you know that a good player can determine if a machine is worth playing assuming that they'll win the best prize when the machine functions properly.

Most of the few I've actually bothered to look at had an actuator holding them open but only a weak-looking spring pulling them shut.

Earlier this year, I saw a lady casually win something in an arcade claw machine. She won once and walked away. I figured that claw grabbed tighter than most, so I spent a few bucks teaching the twins how to use it. They cleaned up!

Don't worry, humor has a way of coming back around when its rediscovered by the next generation, so Mel Brooks will never die.
