This new Cyclone V DE0-CV looks interesting:

It is based on the Cyclone 5CEBA4F23C7N, and costs $150. It might make a good basis for the Verilog Prop1, instead of the DE0-Nano; it has about 2x the number of LEs.
Shipping is expensive, direct from Terasic, so I'd wait until it is in stock at Digi-Key and get free shipping.
