SX chip sale

I ordered five of the SX48 and three of the SX28 chips. I can't wait to program them... after I make a fluffy 2... after I figure out how to program a PIC18f2420 (I got from a pull) and get it to work in fluffy2. It will be worth it in the end! Who else is taking advantage of these savings?

I'd scoop up a few dozen SX48 chips immediately if I could find a source of breakout boards for them. Know of anything available/inexpensive?

I've purchased from them and the boards are of high quality. They'll even do the soldering if you send the chips.

I will most likely be buying both. The fact that they are on Amazon is what really entices me, as any "corporate rewards" I receive from my job are redeemable there. I would say, "free is worth it," but I guess I earned it.
Maybe not the cheapest, but easy to solder.

Ummm. does NOT Propeller 1 use the same pitch, and has only 44 pins versus 48. The SX-48 is 0.50mm pitch, the Proeller 1 is 0.80 pitch. (I had hoped they were the same.)
Schmarts are nice options, but a little more pricey. The first one I posted states .5/.8. We will wait until I get it to see how easy it is for me to schlap an sx on.
Being a finer pitch, the SX48 may actually a bit more difficult than a Propeller 1 chip to solder by hand or in a toaster oven. But getting it done so cheaply may be worth the trouble. Once does have to daisy chain all the ground connections and all the Vdd connections and find a way to fit a tiny surface mount capacitor on each of the four pairs, but it is possible to do if you take your time.

No more kits. Just the blank board. May still have a few of the parts to stuff the boards.
I also have some of the blank switch PCB's as well:

If you would like any of these just send me a PM.

I have an old application that uses an SX DIP chip. I noticed on the website there are Basic Stamp SX chips available that use the SX DIP chip.
Can we buy thedr Stamp chips for the alternative use as a general purpose SX chip? (even though they cost more)

I've never done that, but it should work. You'd just be overwintering the code that's in there and while the SX has a read protection bit there is no write protection. However someone on this forum must have a few SX28ac/dp chips for sale, just ask. You can also find them on ebay from time to time.
