Pi Day

http://www.raspberrypi.org/jam/

Raspberry Jams are events organised by the community to share knowledge, learn new things, and meet other Pi enthusiasts. They’re a great way to find our more about the Raspberry Pi and what you can do with it, and to find like-minded people.

I was surprised that there were only a few events in the USA

Here's the one in Silicon Valley:

    Raspberry Jam Silicon Valley
    Computer History Museum, Mountain View

Pi Day in Maui looks like fun! It looks like I'll be eating Pie by myself again this year!

It's probably best anyway. Bob mentioned "meet like minded people", that always scares me!!

This just in: I received my first RasPi (2) today from MCM (thanks Rick) so I guess I'm ready for Pi Day.

I'm guessing the Tau lovers are having a field day with Pi 2.

This is a particularly significant Pi Day, especially in the morning: 3/14/15 9:26:54!

    And my annual reminder: don't forget Phi•Pi (1.618033989 • 3.141592654 = 5.083203692) Day, May 8th! :)

Outstanding numerology, PhiPi! I'll try to remember that tomorrow morning, but I'll be at the 9am Cinderella matinee with my twins and by 26 minutes into the flick, I may be distracted by one mean stepmother.

    re:y, May 8th LOL

I really feel that I need to do something special for my Pi today but what should I do?

    A) I could at least turn it on to keep it warm on such a cold day.
    B) I have my Pi 2 overclocked and I could just set it back to normal ,just for today, to let it rest .
    C) I could hook it up with some new peripheral and leave them alone, in the dark.
    D) I could interface it to my Propeller chip and take it for a Spin
    E) I could connect it to a LCD to send it a birthday message.
    D) I could take my shinny new Pi2 to the mall . It's sure to strike up lots of conversations with the ladies.
    F) I could take it through a fast food lane in case it wants a few byte's .
    G) All of the above
    H) None of the above

With "D", you'll probably meet some nice security people too!

Ice cream is always good with Pi!

Load up Minecraft and let it play a game?

Order a second one so it has a friend?

Give a name to a number that does not exist. Brilliant!
