Elev8 Mini

Being cooped up inside during the cold weather greatly limits ones flying time. As I've have discovered the size of the Elev8 does not lend itself
as being indoor friendly, even when trying to fly in my poll barn.
So.. that were this idea comes from, a smaller version of the Elev8 small enough to fly inside.Something that could use the same software and radio setup as the larger Elev8.
If it were made then the Super-Elev8 would have to be next. Then you could say the Elev8 comes in three fun sizes small, medium, and large.

I would think that one issue would be with getting the boards and battery on a small quad-copter in addition to everything else that you would need. This problem just gets bigger and bigger as the quad-copter size gets smaller.
I don't think Parallax would want to get into that competitive market with very little profit.
Hmmmm........Good point. There would need to be something special about a mini Elev8 that would make it better than all of those other quads out there.
Once they make the board, it can probably be customized to any platform, including mini.
Size wise I think the size of something like the DJI250 would be a good balance. It's not too big to fly inside nor too small to fly outside. If anyone has tried to fly a micro-quad outside then you know what I'm talking about. 250's are large enough to allow for limited mods. I've seen 250's used for FPV flying.

Wow! I didn't know that. I hope it will be better than the Hoverfly.
That will open up the possibilities.

No reason other than cost, features and size. The current HoverflyOpen does not have an accelerometer, which limits it to rate-mode operation. The board is also a little large compared to the CC3D board I have and is also more more expensive.
However, that really doesn't matter if you already have one. It also doesn't matter if you want a board with a propeller on it.
