activating a touch display with a circuit

I would like to activate the touch display of an instrument remotely (meters range).
I would only need to press a single bottom, in a well defined position.
I would like to stick with some tape an activation circuit, to be used in place of my finger.
I'm considering the possibility to use a servo and a touch pen, but mounting the servo would be tricky and probably make it not reliable.
Any suggestion is welcome.
Massimo

How about a small solenoid pushing on a spring holding the touch pen?

The servo and retracting pen makes me think of a useless box, yet Massimo's concept has real purpose! If the servo and pen were behind the touch screen and came around from behind (kind of like the retractable finger shown) to touch an edge button, it would be less obtrusive.

Naturally, you should use a touch sensor to trigger this. :)

    :-)
I was thinking about a remote control in place of a touch sensor, but this is the idea.
I was hoping to be able to trigger the touch using a fixed circuit sticked on the screen, able to simulate the body capacitance with no moving parts, because I have not a nice place for the servo, but at the moment servo and pen combination looks the best solution.

    Thanks,
