Undelivered emails.

I can't seem to get any emails through to Parallax. They are not bouncing, they are apparently just never getting there. Could someone at Parallax look into possible spam filtering or automatic blocking of the domains 1mgh.com, mghdesigns.com and 69.164.198.181

Thanks.

IMO, Parallax filters their incoming emails much too aggressively. Even some design files that I submit get bounced, and I have to FTP them to a private website for them to download instead.

You did not provide the email address(es) you are trying to reach.

Please provide a list of the email addresses you have tried sending to (here or in a PM).

It started with karneson@parallax.com and now it seems sales@parallax.com is a problem too.

Martin, I found your messages to our sales team. They have them now.

As to how they were tagged as spam in the first place, I don't have a definitive answer. We use Google Enterprise Apps, which means that we get whatever default filtering Google provides. We can adjust it with various whitelists, but those happen after the fact. I do know that the domain you are using for your email is not currently listed in any of the major spam databases. We will definitely watch our spam queues more closely and make adjustments if we find more occurrences like this one.

    Jim,

Is there any way you can broaden the kinds and sizes of attachments the mail server will accept?

    Thanks,
    -Phil

Phil, please direct that question to webmaster@parallax.com; your email communications with Parallax are quite different than most of the forum users'.

All issues have been resolved. Thanks for your quick response.

It makes sense this should happen because I've noticed Gmail is filtering mail from me as well. Though I can not find any indication as to why. I really hate that Google decides for you that you need spam filtering with no way to turn it off.

We do have some latitude over what is accepted or rejected. I can drill down on the details if you have some specific file types or file attachment sizes that may need some adjustment. I believe that the default max file size is 20 MB. I don't have a definitive list of what type of attachments are permitted or blocked.

    Jim, Courtney,

I think I'll have to wait until I send another large attachment, and see if it gets rejected. I don't save the reject notices and don't remember exactly what's gotten rejected, although I'm sure I've gotten both "too big" and "bad file typre" rejections in the recent past.

    Thanks,
    -Phil
