Saw this video and thought it was kind of interesting.

RC Snowplow

I was wondering if you could automate the truck movement and keep your driveway cleaned. Just let it out every couple of hours while it is snowing, so the snow doesn't get too deep for it to move. Kind of like a roomba for your drive.
But since I live in Texas, I won't be trying this at home.

That looks like less than 1" of pretty light snow...

Now, imagine that it's WET snow, or there's ice under it.

Here's a bit cooler clip, from Osl airport Gardermoen, where 'closed because of snow' is kind of unheard of...

(Some CNN newsman was there making a program. This is the program about the program)

I think there are 5 of those wheeled snow blowers in existence, and 3 of them can be found at that airport.
Lots of other big boy's toys in that video, too

Cool video. About 2 years back one of our local newscasters (Erie PA, last year's snowiest city) had a clip showing a local resident that made an actual snow blower into a RC controlled snow blower. Right now looking out the window and seeing the snow come down I wish I could have that guy send me his plans :).

    LOL!

    Watched the whole thing.

I'm about 60 miles from NYC. We had the same old-same old 8". I know Martin_H must have gotten hit with at least 24".

I build a generator shed thinking we would be without power for a month! :)

There was a video of a nice treaded RC snow plow post here a while ago. I'll try and find it.

What can I say. Nice plow, but that's not snow, that's hardly a dusting.
