Not exactly a robot per se, but certainly impressive agricultural automation. David (vanmuch) may appreciate.

Most impressive. No counter balance needed.

Noticed, sometimes the back tire were flat, then is wasn't. .

I've seen variations on this out cutting the median on the Interstates - it's an impressive collection of flailing arms and whirling blades...add a flame thrower for those stubborn patches of weeds and it would be just about perfect!

I wonder if it can really sport 8 arms in full configuration and justify its name?

Not flat, just had a lot of weight on it when all the mowers were cantilevered out a few meters to one side.

Wonder what the neighbors would think if I mounted a few of those mowers on top of my trailer house?,
oh wait.. why would i care? if I could mow my lawn in five minutes, they would prolly want one too...

Love the idea. In NY and NJ, where I often drive, there are occasional trees. I hope they sense the terrain themselves. It would be difficult to control four arms manually.

Wow, very cool. Someone decided that they had had enough of driving back and forth.... :)
