Hello!
I'm in the midst of preparing a demo for someone of much of what I've been working on this season, and I have made an interesting discovery. Basically because that of the device itself, there's really only one specific style to these devices, that is the bread board friendly pixels that Adafruit makes and these new ones from Parallax are both the same layout.
So it seems like minds do think a lot alike.
Right now I have a PAB running code supplied via OBEX and written by you Jon, and its driving two of the ones designed by Limor's bright guys. And I did remember to change the device number from 3 to 2.
Next step I'll assemble the ones from the company and swap the others for them and see what happens next. Since I'm using one of those three lead harnesses in the colors associated with servos to bring power and data to the pair, I might end up assembling them as the ones you have in your discussion Duane. that's shown in #48 in http://forums.parallax.com/showthread.php/157643-WS2812B-Fun-Board/page3 as it happens the two I'm running are shown on the breadboard where the ones from Parallax are shown in the photo.
However, which one of you created Tachyon Forth? Perhaps that's my targeted language for this job.
