Many forums, including the test forum don't have the "Unsolved" or "Solved" options.
To mark a thread "Solved" you edit the original post and select "Go Advanced". In the advanced editor there will be a drop down menu on the left side of the screen above the text editing box with the various prefix options. This where you should have the option of marking the thread to "Solved".
IMO, it's always polite to make this change once a solution has been found.
I've been trying to mark a post I made in the GCC forum. I saw your post about how to do this, but when I edit my original post, switch to advanced I don't see any pull down menue above the text editing box. That is why I decided to mess with it here.
I don't see any of the posts, in GCC, with prefixes so guess the function is not available there.
EDIT: You can not mark it solved unless it was marked "Unsolved" in the original post
If the forum supports the use of "Unsolved"/"Solved", I'm pretty sure you can add the "Solved" prefix even if there hadn't been an "Unsolved" prefix.
I think the same holds true for the "In Progress" and "Completed" options in the Projects forum. Either prefix can be added to the original post at any time.
For some reason the Propeller GCC sub forum doesn't include the "Unsolved"/"Solved" prefixes. If you look at the list of threads in the Propeller GCC sub forum, you'll see none of the threads are marked with either "Solved" or "Unsolved". If you look at the list of threads in the main Propeller forum or the General forum, you'll see several threads with these prefixes. The General forum also has the option of adding a "Chatter" prefix.
So the short answer to how to mark threads solved in the Propeller GCC forum is "you can't". It's not a feature of that forum.

Of course Duane being smarter than me gave the correct answer below.
