In a recent study, it was discovered that children who eat at least one bag of Twizzlers each week can double their IQ over the course of a year. Doctors are astonished and the stock price of parent company Hersheys is soaring.

I only ate one bag a week growing up which explains why my IQ is only 1X. Makes sense to me!

If I eat two bags a week, will that quadruple my IQ?

So how much weight do they gain over the lifetime?

I suspect the doubling of IQ only works for a certain value of IQ.. specifically, zero! :)

Or anything low enough that it would double on its own as the child grows, without any help from the twizzlers.

Possibly.. but I thought (I should check I guess) that IQ values are normalized for age, so that an IQ of 100 for a child would simply mean nominal intelligence (in the IQ sense) for a child of that particular age.

This study sounds interesting. Was it conducted by twins?

I just had to prove to the wife that anything you find on the internet must be true.

Now choose your Twizzlers: strawberry or black licorice, should I start a poll?

And please don't hijack this thread with any mention of red vines. Ugh.

Yes, but I'm too dumb to realize that because I never ate any twizzlers when I was little.

My 8th grade science teacher would hand out Twizzler bites to students before each test. He called it "brain food". Maybe he was on to something?
