Propeller Project Board

Sales dept is closed and I was wondering;

Is the Project Board going to come back?

If I were to buy some of the discontinued boards is there something I should avoid doing with it?

Thanks.

    The boards were sold out in the first hours after the announcement:

    I'm not sure Ken has put a time line on the new ones. Should be a simple fix to get the grounds connected, and have new boards made. Of course, it has to fit into the production schedule.

    Also I really wish that discontinued products were easier to find. Sometimes it's nice to go back to the site to get a datasheet for a past purchase.

    In the case of this board the only way I can find it is using search for product number which I had to get from another website selling it.

    I wish I had purchased some. Do you know what happened with Rev A or Rev B as to why they're discontinued? I am going to get some from Frys (not sure on revision) which will require a lot of driving around and I was wondering why A&B disappeared so fast and if I should be concerned about it. I'm looking to get 10 of them. The Rev A I had just kinda stopped working one day and I assumed it was something I did to it and would like to avoid that again if possible.

    Thanks.

    I know a few of us stocked up on the Rev C. I'm sure some could be cut loose if the need arises.

    As far as using the board, it seems fully functional. Just avoid using the 10 pins on the right side marked GND. There are 11 pins on the bottom right that can be used as GND.

    I just typed in "Project" in the search box on the home page and it brought up:

    As far as Rev A and Rev B being retired, I think Rev B went to a better uSD connector, and added pads for an LDO regulator on the back.

    The VGA problem only seemed to occur at high resolutions.

    Thanks Publison. I couldn't remember the name of the board, and I had it mixed up with protoboard. Searching is cumbersome to someone who is not familiar with the line of products. I ended up searching for "Parallax" on Fry's website and using the pictures to identify it, which was faster. This is only because I knew Fry's sold them. To someone less familiar with Parallax products this seems like a pretty big chore over poking around in a discontinued section broken down into categories.

    Perfect! Thank you. Time to start driving.

    If I cannot source 10 of these locally I will be begging forum members for any "overstock".

    MicroCenter also stocks these in some stores, if you have one local to you.
