Well those Aussies are probably asleep by now, (happened 4 1/2 hours ago).

I'm sure Loopy has celebrated.

Due to my time zone map Loopy is celebrating right now! Midnight 6 min ago in Tapei, Taiwan.

Another five hours to go here. Can't wait, have to go out and launch something...

OK. That's half the rockets launched. All successfully despite only having about a 3 meter gap between the trees on their way to the sky and out over the lake.

There rest has to wait three hours till midnight.

I was just wondering, how many of you guys can still go to the hardware store and pick up a box of fire works, take them home and let them off in the back yard?

Here at least it's allowed on New Year and other special days between 6 p.m. and 2 a.m.

The central square of Helsinki looks and sounds like a battle field round midnight.

Happy New Year everyone. It's now 9:30am in Oz.

Our Sydney Fireworks were great again but the ABC commentary was terrible (watched it on TV) - they even missed the final motif on the bridge due to commentators head!

The Sydney fireworks show looked fabulous on TV over here.

Something bad happened in Shanghai though: http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-30646918

Here we managed to get the last rockets out between the trees over the frozen lake. Only one failure, plunged into the ice before exploding nicely.

    Happy New Year all!

The Sydney Fireworks are some of the best! Another great display!

    Tragic about the Shanghai celebration.

I hope the rest of the celebrations are free from injury.

    Happy New Year Heater.

I am a bit slow to respond... I don't know why I thought Taiwan was East of Australia, but I did. (I suppose it depends on which end of Australia you start looking west from.)

Happy New Year to all.... a bit loopy.
