Robo Mermaids

The twins enjoyed my robotic Christmas surprise of "My Magical Mermaids". A shameless ripoff of the Hexbug Aquabots with a girly theme. They work pretty well with a few caveats. The tank leaks at the only possible place, at the LED, and required sealing. And each Mermaids must be individually ballasted by swapping some metal tail weights around. All beyond the reasonable ability of little girls, which is probably why these things are being blown out at Walmart.com. Mermaids are $3 each, tank+1 mermaid is $8. Big fun for the girls after Dad got everything dialed in, plus I got a few ideas about underwater bots in the process. erco-approved!

erco - My daughter would have loved this - she is now 17! Yikes. They grow up before you know it.
