Airborne!

I think the Elev-8 is pretty darned cool, but unfortunately a bit beyond my budget. :-(
A while back tho', I was in the 'Shack and they had the Bladerunner Heliquad on sale.
'Tis a lot of fun to play with and I've learned some aerobatics. Goes something like... Bounce off the ceiling, bounce off the floor > ceiling > floor > ceiling > wall > chair > window > television > roommate > floor!
I'd post a video, but I'm too busy trying to keep the darned thing flying in one place and my roommate is too busy running for her life! ;-)
Merry Christmas everyone! (And if you hear a whirring sound in the distance... DUCK!)

You might wear safety goggles, a helmet, and some other protective clothing. And if you fly it outside, mostly likely it will seek out the most expensive nearby car to hit first.
Nonetheless, it is fun to get flying with just about anything... an empty gym might be the best place to fly.
Bladeguards: Amanda tested; roommate approved.
Happy flying
I have to agree. My Elev-8 isn't too happy in the living room (nor is my wife), but my little Hubsan is just fine. If I would have found the mini copter before Realflight, I might not have bought the sim. The sim is ~$150, the Hubsan ~$40.

Non camera version just $29: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Top-Selling-X6-2-4G-4CH-Super-Stable-Flight-RC-Mini-Quadcopter-PK-Hubsan-H107-US-/141510351674?pt=Radio_Control_Vehicles&hash=item20f2ac9b3a
Order spare props and an extra battery.

Hey Jim! Thanks for the info. I'll check that out.
The Heliquad came with one spare set of rotor blades. I've had some fairly serious interactions with household objects and not suffered any significant damage. (A few scratches from running into the ceiling)
Tho' with the roomiie's Sky Force helicopter in the same airspace, things could get more serious.

I think it was a return because it was repackaged and had an extra battery and blade package. My Gain, someone got one without those pieces.
Waiting for an adult to fly: "Recommended for ages 14 and up"
I hate when that happens! I have a number of things around the house that probably should be adult supervised! :0)

I consider it a great investment because for only $50 it cured me of any desire to start up a new and very expensive hobby.
haha... I've had mine for months and it seems pretty indestructible. I have a spare's kit that ran $18. Includes a body, two motors, two LED's a battery and a handful of props. Darn near lost it twice though, flying outside to show a friend "what not to do" on one of those occasions.
Publison - I have one of those RS flyers also. It's pretty cool, but I think I like the Hubsan better - especially the controller size. I'm surprised how hot the battery gets on that one.

I don't doubt it. In the last few months I've purchased three different inexpensive quadcopters and loved them all. All are still flying. For sheer cute, it's hard to beat the Cheerson flying egg, particularly the penguin.
