Prop activity board power switch issue

My 3-day old prop activity board now powers the servo pins when the power switch is set to the "1" position. In fact, both the "1" and "2" LED's light up when the one position is selected.

I see in the help file that this can be caused by re-positioning the jumpers while the board has power. Since I didn't do that, I wondering what is up. Since this issue is specifically mentioned in the help file, I'm thinking that it's not an isolated issue???

More importantly, I'm wondering how it can be repaired, or I should say how I can repair it. I realize that it doesn't cost all that much, but I'd rather fix it than just replace it since it's so new.

Thanks in advance for thoughts/suggestions,

John

I seem to remember in an earlier thread where if more than 9 volts is applied to the power in jack (marked 6-9VDC) then several of the SMD MosFets that switch power to the aux rail will short out. They sit just to the right of the SD card slot. Barring that, contact customer support for a warranty replacement.

Ok, thanks for that! Not sure how more than 9 volts would have found its way to the board via the 5 AA battery pack the activity bot comes with, but it is what it is.

    I'll contact tech support.

    Cheers,

    John
