It's been a couple years since I had let my subscription to N&V expire. It seemed there were not enough projects that drew my interest. Any how, I decided today to check it out again. I see that they now have The Spin Zone. I signed up and I am glad I did. There is a great "How To" for writing SPIN code for pushbuttons the "correct" way. Just curious, how long has SPIN Zone been in there? I am hoping that in the future, with a little coaxing that they can do more articles and how to's for the Propeller. I know they covered the Stamp a lot but now it is time to do the same for the Propeller!!!!

According to this page column #0 came out in May 2009.

I'm also a big fan of the Spin Zone. I was finally able to understand how PASM worked by following Jon's LED demo. I haven't had a N&V subscription for a while but I'm very tempted to start back up again just so I can get the Spin Zone.

The Spin Zone isn't in each issue. I think it's in every other issue.

My column now appears in even-numbered months. Just sent the February column (self reloading from a uSD card) to the folks at N&V a week or so ago.

I always learn something new from your column! Really enjoyed the explanation of your button debounce method in the current issue. I've used similar code in a number of projects, but now I actually understand what the heck it is doing :)

I find that Nuts & Volts has a very good mix of features & articles relating to micro-controllers. Both leading edge tech and beginner stuff. It is one of the few magazines that I actually read cover to cover. The other being Runner's World.

Thanks for the kind words. I always worry that what I'm writing won't be perceived as useful.

I find the only issues worth keeping are the ones with the Spin Zone as there is only so much of the same ArDweebNo hype I can stand. You tips/code are embedded in just about everything I do.

I recently renewed my N&V subscription. Jon's Spin Zone column is my favorite column. His recent column on LANC inspired me to finally get started on a project I've wanted to get started on for years. Thanks Jon, keep up the good work!
