My team must have gone crazy with these discounts. Quite a risky behavior.

Gonna have to call a corporate meeting and bring Chip in to help settle the chaos.

I wish the sale would last just a bit longer. I have clients that I bill every December which my profit from them I consider my yearly bonus. That is what we normally use for Christmas shopping. So, until those checks arrive I have to hold off on buying anything as I have other bills to pay!!! Gotta keep the lights on! A few years ago one of the larger checks did not arrive before Christmas. We shopped for the grandkids and put our own stuff on hold until after the Holidays when it finally arrived. Worked out OK though since the ring I bought for my wife was $200.00 off what it had been before Christmas!!!

Post-Christmas deals are usually better than Black Friday.

    Especially for Christmas decorations. :)

The Propeller Activity Board for $37.49 sucked me in, then I had to spend another $12 in order to get the shipping for free. So now I have new wire cutters and a 5-way switch coming too. I can definitely use the wire cutters but I have no idea what I'll do with the 5-way switch.

You'll do the RIGHT thing, Rick. A 5-way switcheroo.

The best $37.49 you'll ever spend.

Just don't try to make a robot out of it, though. You'll find it too easy, and you'll have to look elsewhere for headache-inducing challenges.

For the 5-way switch, add an XBee set and you can control your robot wirelessly. (You could do it with wires, of course, but then make sure your robot is made of plywood. Wired bots require construction from plywood.)

Ask and you shall receive!!! I see they extended the sale just for me to 12-22-2014. Now, hopefully that bonus check I rely on soooooooooo much will be here so I can place MY Christmas order. Even if I do not get it by Christmas, at least I will know what I am getting. The Elev-8 V2 is looking REAL promising but I just do not know that I will have the time to mess with it enough to justify the costs.

Crank up the Wayback Machine! Parallax must really be mining some old email addresses to promote the extension of their sale. I've gotten three notifications from them so far, but none to any address I currently use. One email was addressed to Browser, another came to the enigmatic Dr. Mu, and the last was to Scrooge. Scrooge? Really? Bah! I don't ever remember using that one, but I must have at some point in time.

None of my emails had a line like that one. So they're not just saying stuff like that to everyone to flatter them, which means you really are the best forum member ever!

My email only had a blank (dark grey) picture/box. At least I knew by the heading what it was about.

I didn't get that line either.. but I did get an email to an old email address, the one Parallax wouldn't recognize a couple of years back, so that I had to create a new one (which is the one I have ordered from the last few years). I got the email on the current address too though.

Sometimes I just can't figure out the Post Office tracking system. The last time I checked this (yesterday), they were estimating delivery on Friday and the most recent update was "Shipping Label Created ROCKLIN". Notice that this was after it arrived in Sacramento. I just checked it again not even 24 hours later and it's "Out for Delivery". It might even actually be in my mailbox, I'll have to go over there and check. At any rate, excellent fast service from Parallax (and the USPS).

After that you get this one:

December 18, 2014, 3:20PM Package picked up by neighbor, who is now enjoying your goodies.

Anywho, the PO updates their database only several times a day, so it's quite possible to get the package before it says it's arrived in your town.

I think I get Parallax newsletters, but somewhat sporadically. I won't get them for the longest time, then all of a sudden, they'll return. Not that I need it -- I cruise here and the shop pages often enough to know the good deals.

Well Murphy's Law was certainly in effect.

On Wednesday the mail didn't actually get delivered until almost 6:00 pm (!?). The apartment office was closed by then, so the mail person left a note saying "no secure delivery option available" or something like that and said I needed to come to the Post Office and pick up the package within 15 days.

No problem, since the Post Office is only a mile from where I shop for groceries. I went to get it yesterday, but they didn't have it and weren't sure where it was. They said that most likely it's out for delivery again and just wasn't re-scanned. Okay, no problem. Sure enough, it was delivered late in the afternoon.

This morning, I finally opened the box only to find that one of the items is not the correct one. I was charged correctly, but instead of the $5 Keiba wire cutters they sent the $12 Klein cutter/stripper. I'm not sure what to do because I really wanted the smaller cutters, but it almost doesn't seem worth the trouble to be shipping things back and forth.

    Hi Rick- Sorry 'bout that!

PM me with your address and I'll get you a correct set pronto :) No need to return the error.

Our Shipping Staff has been shipping out more shipments than I have ever seen shipped before - They're bleary-eyed and real trouper's to the end!

Marketing truly did push them to the limits of Shipper's Endurance!
