Is it OK to mention a Kickstarter here?

A mentor and good friend of mine is launching one, and it may be relevant to users here. This person isn't too active online, and I'm going to help them some, which is why I'm asking. I've no personal financial gain or consideration in this. Just doing a friend a solid.
Thoughts? Ok? Not OK?

We do request that the campaign be relevant to the purpose of these forums, and that responses stay on-topic and user-friendly. Use your best judgement.
I see no reason why anyone would object to any KickStarter or other project being mentioned here as long as it's relevant to Parallax products.
If it propels the Propeller into the public eye in a good way it cannot be bad.
...I see what you did there...
It is a product designed for people who use bifocal glasses who have ergonomic trouble when using computer monitors for long periods of time.
Not propeller specific, though something Parallax fans may well get good benefit from.
So, I split the middle. It's mentioned, but enough to clarify intent without (I hope) taking advantage.
Go? No Go?
Either is fine. The final product detail, kickstart project is about to launch, and my part in this, that solid I'm doing, is to generate interest. So I want to do that, but only if it's appropriate. I just want this person to see the project be successful. They worked hard and the thing does what it needs to, etc....
I'll put some detail here, and a link, in a few days, if it makes sense.
I mean, it's a Propeller programming aid for guys like me with progressive focus lenses, right?
(Assuming this magic doohicky works with progressive foucus).
