Has anyone tried doing an edf conversion to their elev8? Just curious. I might play mad scientists over holiday break

    I'm pretty sure it's been done (though not with the ELEV-8). I've read EDF offer limited control compared with the usual brushless motor/prop combo when used on a quadcopter.

    I thought this EDF project was pretty cool.

    Hopefully greyfox will make the same mod on his EDF units.

    It's possible, but EDF's tend to be less efficient than regular props, and it can be tough to find them in opposing rotation pairs, which you need for yaw control.
