Looking for USB oscilloscope recommendations please.

Hi again, this time I'm looking to get a USB scope for my PC and was wondering if anybody out there had any food for thought. I'm leaning towards a logic analyzer over an actual scope if that helps.

Thanks in advance :-)

I'm a big fan of the BitScope: http://www.bitscope.com/product/BS05/

But since it's mixed signal, you might be better off with the Saleae Logic: https://www.saleae.com/

The latter has much nicer software to back it up, the former is handy if you need more than just logic analysis.

I believe there's a new, extremely entry-level USB scope coming soon, too, so if the shininess of the Saleae doesn't get you, then waiting wouldn't hurt!

    I would do both.

Start with the Parallax Propscope first, it's on sale right now:

A scope is handy in many more situations over a LA.

The Saleae is a great product, and Parallax used to sell it. I think the new one is shipping.

I've already got an OK Scopemeter and a bench scope, but I'm looking to analyze logic data and longish serial data streams more than anything else.

I just ordered the Logic Pro 16 from Saleae. I'll post some followup after I use it for a bit(!).

Thank you for the heads up :-)
