Parallax Has Super Sized Their Sale

In case any of you missed the announcement, Parallax has lowered the price on a bunch of robotics stuff.

The sale includes the work of art called Motor Mount and Wheel Kit - Aluminum.

This set usually sells for close to $300 and it's now on sale for $224.28.

I'm currently working on adapting the Eddie code to work with the new encoders used in this kit as well as the HB-25 motor controllers.

I've already added the requested ARC command and I'm working improving the PID algorithm (so it includes "I"). The most recent code is attached to this post.

I'm planning on getting the Spin code to work well using this kit and a Propeller Activity Board and NikosG is working on the C code for controlling this kit. So there should be some nice software ready to control the kit with either Spin or C in the near future (not that the present code is bad).

As I've said several times before, this kit is beautiful! Now's a great time to get a set.

They also lowered the free shipping threshold to $50.

Hey, if this kit was part of my pay to write the modified Eddie code, did I just get a pay cut?

And you can get a ELEV8-V2 for $411.75 ! $137.25 off. Now that would make a good Christmas present!

I have built two of these, and they are solid. Love all the upgrade Parallax did on these.

It's getting real big around here with these sales.

People have gone totally berserk around here and the inmates are apparently in charge. Freedom has run amok.

I also see that it's possible to buy the Elev8-V2 without the flight controller. That would work well for me since I already have the Hoverfly Sport that came with my Elev8-V1. However, I just ordered some stuff so I may have to wait in this one. :-)

    David,

Was the Hoverfly Sport Software available?

In binary form, yes. But not in source form. I don't think any Hoverfly software is available in source form is it?

Unfortunately both the HoverSport and HoverFly code is under patent pending due to multiprocessing, as far as I can see.

While cite when I can find them.

There is a Windows app you can download from the Hoverfly site that will update the software on a Hoverfly board. I did it when I first used the Hoverfly Sport on my Elev8-V1. Are you saying that isn't available anymore?

Save $5 on any Pololu order over $5 through Monday. How can you go wrong?

Pololu newsletter special: $5 off any order over $5 http://www.pololu.com/blackfriday2014

Our Black Friday/Cyber Monday Sale is in full swing! Our second round of doorbuster deals will go live in just a few hours, followed by a third round Friday morning.

We have heard customer feedback requesting free shipping. Since our system does not support such a feature, we are offering a special newsletter coupon code for $5 off, which while not specifically connected to shipping, covers the cost of basic domestic shipping and can lessen the sting for those of you overnighting your orders to the other side of the world.

To take advantage of this offer, you must enter the coupon code BF14FORSHIPPING in your cart; this coupon is not automatically added to your cart like the others when you use the "add all coupons to cart" link. The offer is limited to one per customer and 1000 total uses, and it is good through the end of Cyber Monday, December 1.
