S2 GUI running on Mac using Wine Bottler?

Hello,

Our biggest problem with the S2 is the lack of Mac support. While we work on true Mac support I'm looking at alternatives and came across Wine Bottler, which now runs under Yosemite.

The developer added a small Beta FAQ about using it with serial ports here:

Could somebody with a Mac and an S2 robot install Wine Bottler and give this a try for us?

I tried downloading WineBottler to my MacBook Pro, but the site is so rife with adware and misdirecting links, that I could not wend my way through the maze to find the actual app.

Can you provide a more targeted link?

I have used wine a few times before. I don't have an S2, but I can try to load an S2 program to a Propeller.
Before messing with any drivers the S2 program runs fine for me (Mac OSX 10.9.5). However, I am not able to load a scribbler program to a Propeller. I'll see if I can install the drivers as the FAQ suggests. I have not had any luck connecting to peripheral devices with Wine before. The FAQ suggests it is possible, but I am not sure this is going to be a good user-friendly option.
