I've got a set of Parallax's nice motors with encoders arriving today. I figure I'll need to keep the wheels spaced at the same distance the Arlo wheels so my code and will work with the Arlo platform (I'm helping Ken with the OPP#8), but I was thinking of giving my robot more of a Stingray shape.
I thought this new robot may be a good size to support my Crustcrawler AX-12 Smartarm. The Smartarm and all those Dynamixel servos were pretty expensive (though a business expense) and I have yet to use it in a productive manner.
I'm not sure what sort of productive use I'll find for the arm once it's mobile but maybe I'll get lucky and find some roadside bombs to defuse.
