Enter any project with any microcontroller. Just document and describe the build to enter. Many threads here are practically done. Now get some Propellers and Stamps in the limelight!

http://www.instructables.com/contest/micro2014/

Co-sponsored by Indestructables and Radio Shack. Grand prize package includes a 3D printer. Also lots of Arduino stuff (!) .

Jason, get the Thurber Feeder 5000 entered pronto! :)

Hmm...why are they inviting entries that us the Raspberry Pi?

Call me old fashioned but back in the day we got "microprocessors", a processor on a chip that needed support chips: RAM, ROM. clock, I/O etc etc.
Then we got "microcontrollers", the whole computer on a chip. Enough of everything to run without support chips.

The Raspi has an external half gig RAM chip. It can't even be booted without the support of a whole other external micro-controller, the one in the attached SD card!

Yeah, yeah, I know, nobody cares and I'm just quibbling again.

I've had it with my Roku, so I plan on building my own streaming player using a RaspPi. Especially now that I hear my $19 Amazon Fire TV Stick will be delayed another month.

Seriously, you gotta love The Shack. Kicked, spat at, and all-around humiliated to the brink of bankruptcy, and they're still supporting us hobbyists with projects and contests. I certainly do hope they convince their bankers to let them close all the stores they need to remain competitive.

I like it that they have a QS board in their main graphic. Waytogo!

This is my current favorite. Gotta love this little guy -- helping dad demonstrate their new NeoPixel robot mask.

If they do it again next year I'll participate. It'll be fun just to take part in the contest.

Larry, do it this year. Do it NOW. It can be an old project that you already finished.

Old to us is still new to them. Remember, we Parallaxians are from the future.
