    Duane,

When you get them, examine them closely and compare them with another Ping))) rev A just to make sure they're the real deal and not offshore counterfeits.

Is there enough difference between rev a and rev c to dump old stock for that price? Color me suspicious. Parallax should buy one.

Uh, apparently they don't work with Propellers, only Arduinos.

Seriously, it looks like you guys bought them all and you'll let us know if they're imposters.

Are you sure? I was able to order 10, but intentionally did not complete the transaction.

    Will do.

I'm hopeful they're real. I purchased a couple Ping))) sensors from Radio Shack not long ago for close to this price. I'm hoping the seller is just getting rid of some old stock.

When I receive them, I'll take some photos and compare them against the real thing.

I plucked down the bucks for two. Will compare to my known legit pings when they arrive and will post results.

These Ping))) sensors look real. Each sensor came individually packaged in a Radio Shack bag.

It looks like these were "new old stock" items.

    I missed out!

The same seller is currently offering, for the same $5 as the PING, five (5) 1K resistors for Cyber Monday. :)

    At least they look genuine.

I think I ordered a total of 6 PING sensors. They all appear real.

See, this is why Radio Shack will survive. They buy these for $20 (or whatever) from Parallax, sell them for $2 or $3 to some surplus vendor, who then sells them to the public for $5 a pop.

Very inventive of them, I say!
