They look really cool and really useful.

These would be especially helpful for those building quadcopters. You could make it auto level without having to spend a lot of extra money for the fancy HoverFly board

These sensors are used to measure liquid levels, not barometric or ultrasonic levels.

Well,

If you dangled a chain of these sensors from you kopter into the sea or a lake you would get very good height estimation
