Over the summer our friend Rick (paintball mini gun) Galinson had to fly down to Argentina for two weeks (it was winter there) for a commercial shoot. He used one of his custom boards with a multi-core program that could read pulse inputs from an RC receiver to control the light colors and animations. Well done, Rick!

It's interesting to see that the"cool" guy in the commercial is a (typically good looking) potential "maker" type.
Keep in mind that the snowboarding shots were done on the top of a mountain, at night, in sub-freezing temperatures. It was a pretty grueling shoot.
I know I'm a weird one, cause a trip like that sounds a lot like something I'd pay for during my time off from work
I've got the Xperia Z and Z2 but I don't think I would stick the phone in the sea with half a grip on it to take a photo! That's what GoPros and the like are for, at the end of a pole and hand strap. But the phones are very nice and waterproof and full HD display plus 20.7MP/4K. Even runs FTDI serial nicely too.
