An amazing hawk attack of a drone Quadcopter was caught on tape in Massachusetts Wednesday. The shocking angry bird assault of the UAV was captured on video thanks to an attached GoPro camera that survived the raptor's talons.

The Hawk won, (of course), but did the copter survive?
Unexpected, to see a Hawk attack! expecially attack
a copter!
I often see hawks and crows doing combat in my neighborhood. It looks like a pretty even match-up - the crows ain't chicken
Who needs guns? Just take up falconry to thin out the quad buzzer drones.
Or with this "BlackBird"
I'm not sure what you mean.
Hawks and such like birds will attack something they might think is food. Or something that appears to be a threat to their family. They have a "no fly zone" of their own. Heck that applies to most animals flying or not.
If the hawks win we all win.
(weak NFL reference, sorry)
Crows are too against their nests, and if they perceive a great enough threat (a hawk mating pair in the neighborhood, for example, or an aggressive cat), they'll even call out for reinforcements. Then, when the threat is gone, all the crows from the other neighborhoods go home. It's amazing to watch.
Quick: what do you call a group of crows? (And no fair checking on Wikipedia.)
Or listening to certain songs by Sting.
You beat me to it! All this time. Fussing & flapping like a murder of crows.
Notice the fire extinguisher BEHIND the exhaust where no on could get at it in case of a fire?
One of my favorite planes, except for the XB-70.
The video is from a coworker of mine. He says that when he saw the hawk attack his quadcopter, he cut the motors to avoid injuring the hawk and to move away quickly. But the 'copter was too close to the ground to be able to recover -- it hit the ground on its landing struts bounced and flipped over. But the only damage was a bit of buckling to the struts -- not even any damage to the propellers.
Three cheers for the hawk.
Most do not realize that hawks, eagles, falcons and vultures are protected by law.
If something small and noisy flies near nesting hawks, eagles or falcons they will attack it.
The birds have all the rights in such cases and the play toys have none and their owners can be prosecuted under conservation laws for disturbing these nesting birds.
I am one of a minute few that feels a twinge of regret at the loss of range chickens and brown eggs. However the predators do a stellar job in helping control many destructive vermin.
I know of at least one city that transplanted Perigrin(sp?) falcons and had a marked decrease in pigeons within a few years. The falcons are fun to watch and hardly anyone misses the pigeons and their mess.

Most really good hunting and fishing stories should end with "If it didn't happen that way it should have."
