Plastic enclosure ideas for DIP propeller breadboard projects?

Radioshack sells these black plastic project enclosure boxes that don't seem to fix any breadboards that I've found very well, especially the propeller educational kit.

Has anyone found an enclosure that is designed for the propeller education kit? Especially if there was room for an additional breadboard on either side of the standard educational kit breadboard ... or even another 3 interconnected with power bridges underneath of it? I guess it could be held down pretty well with some sort of elastic device like they do with toy packaging?

Maybe I'm the only one that could use this, but it would be helpful if someone hasn't found something like it already. I've been searching on the web to no avail.

I don't have the PEK, but I have a case that holds a protoboard, two breadboards, and space for the wall warts and a few parts. It is a modified poker chip case that I picked up at a garage sale. Aluminum exterior, wood inside, and nice latches and carrying handle. When open the lid area makes a good place to mount an lcd or other hardware. Works really well for me. I can post a picture later today if you are interested.

I have no idea how I could get a duplicate of it, but yes a picture would be nice to get a general idea ... it sounds fantastic.

Just how much breadboard space are you needing? I have several RS boxes, and I think there are some that would accomodate a DIP 40 + small breadboard.

If you don't care about appearance and don't need a lot of space, I've found that the plastic boxes that Harbor Freight uses for screw assortments, etc. to be pretty handy. Sometimes they have removable dividers; if not, I just cut the dividers out of the way. They're also translucent, so I can see the status of LED's, vs. the RS black plastic.

A dab of hot glue holds the PCB's in place but still allows for removal.

Sorry I'm a bit late getting around to posting this, but here it is.

The white plastic cutting boards are held in place by strips of velcro. The pcb's mount to the cutting boards with plastic 4-40 screws and nuts, and the prototyping blocks are held in place with double sided tape. Power for most projects is usually provided by either the 6V 500mA wall wart (rear) or the 7.5V 1.5A one at the front of the case. Makes for a neat easily transported prototyping setup.

I got this case at a garage sale for a couple of dollars but I have also seen them at flea markets and pawn shops for not much more.

Ditto on the small metal black/silver cases. I have a couple, one sold as a medicine case from WalMart and another from HarborFrieght: http://www.harborfreight.com/11-x-7-x-4-aluminum-case-69316.html
Both would work great for the PE Kit setup.

One that I keep wanting to get is actually a poker chip case: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Trademark-Global-200-Chip-Aluminum-Case-with-Clear-Cover/16673687
Will work great for a project with a 7" LCD.

I'm going to try the habor freight one, hopefully I can also fit some connectors into the side of the case to easily plug it in and out of my vehicle.

If it's at all possible I would suggest mounting the connectors inside the case so they are protected when the case is closed.
