Linear Circuit Qestion

Greetings,

Been messing with a circuit and noticed the 1458 does not get that close to the +5 and grnd voltages ... no doubt due to the bipolar transistor design ... is there a better dual op-amp package (w/same pin out) available for this?

    Do a quick google search of -- "rail to rail" dual opamp dip ---

    and that will get you in the ball park.

    That's an extremely common pinout. Go to DigiKey, navigate their parameter search, and you will find lots of likely candidates.
