elev-8 constant trouble mode

Build my elev-8 today. Bind to controller works fine. I plug in main power to get ready to bench test and it goes into trouble mode. I thought I followed the directions to a tee.....
I have a spektrum dx8 controller with a spektrum ar8000 transmitter.
I've disconnected everything and plugged it back in and still get trouble sequence.
Any thoughts? Im going nuts!

Make sure to turn the radio on before powering up the elev-8.
