Hi Fellow's :-) Im not back , just got two hours out ! I am glad I didn5t give away all my stuff.... I will get back to it. I was not surprised all that much the other thread was closed but i didn't really thin anyone was out of line ?
Best news is Im am a lot better than i have been since 2007. Also Ive been accepted into a computer science degree. It was a hard choice., the majors were Physics, Astronomy and the physical sciences, biology, chemistry and a couple more at least I had no interest in at all. I start Nov 17 , 2014. The third, or extra semester.
You can always change your major but hopefully I will like computer science.
Thanks again for your support and kindness. I now have to head back to the place they are looking after me. I'll soon be free and a lot better.

This is a support forum. There are tons of other places online to to have the kind of discussion you'll find funny in a more appropriate setting.
You have enough reasons to post related subject matter, which is why I'm assuming you're here. Stick to that.
Yeah, the trouble is that when you start a thread that is a bit broader than the forum normally allows for the question is "what's the point of joining another forum where nobody knows you just to share your thoughts?". So the problem is not so much the thread or the initial content, it's where the it ends up, but certainly even on the "General Discussion" forum the subject matter should be of a technical nature, not philosophical/religious/political. But these things do happen and that's why we have moderators, although forum members should always self-moderate too. But hey, we get some opinions off our chest too!
Why CS then? Wouldn't some kind of EE course be better suited? Which uni are you taking your course through? The EE type course concentrate more on the embedded programming and robotics etc. Perhaps even a Mechatronics course would be helpful? But the same discipline that you need when studying at uni is the same discipline you could apply to yourself in you own time without tying yourself up in the stress of a course or degree. I think you need to build structure into a part of your day so that it's like attending a prac or lecture, don't try "let's see if anything works", just go through the exercises methodically until you know them and then experiment afterwards until you understand them. When you still don't understand then it's time to go back to the "books" and it's important not to skip over those little details, get it right, and it becomes the foundation of your knowledge and understanding. Far far less frustrating in the long run which means you will have more fun getting things to work or else you could do it my way "burn n learn"
Anyhow, good to see you back. Up for a visit sometime? (don't stress, we could meet up somewhere close where we could get some good coffee and let out some magic smoke, maybe even hackspace).
Mike.
