Is anybody here competing in it?
I coach a VRC team. The "Cortex" which runs everything costs about $250, which makes it nearly impossible for the kids to merely tinker with ideas and make non-competition gadgets out of the various parts and sensors they are learning to use. So it seems to me there could be a market for a Propeller board that allows kids to plug and power their Vex sensors and servo motors to make fun things like halloween gadgets, etc. During competitions, the kids work on their robots in their "pits" and in these pits they could have other things they have built from Vex parts, attention-getters, interesting displays of their skills, science fair stuff, etc. Last year there were 10,000 teams world wide in Vex VRC alone, I think, and each team might have 3-5 kids on it, so that's a lot of kids who could buy your stuff if you're interested in exploring that market. I'd try it myself but I'm already drowning in riches and swamped with cash.
