    Ken,

You have way too much time to play?

I noticed not much prop wash, probably because of the diversion, (speading), off of the floats

Shucks! I'm still working on getting mine built!

I've only had it since February of 2012, so I'm still on schedule!

Really cool with the floats!! Keep moving the bar higher, Ken!!

Busy with trying to figure out how to design and build a pair of self-balancing mini-sumobots, so I will just have to envy/admire this.

Great video from the Elev-8. By now, every TV station in the world wants one of these for a live camera feed.

I'm sure someone else will try this and use four empty 2 liter bottles. I would think those would make good floats too.

    Awesome! I love it!
This obviously, could be used for analyzing ponds, fish feeding, etc. I had an expectation of having a "torpedo" drone attached to the
copter. The ELEV-8 drops off the "torpedo" drone, and acts as a repeater for control of the submersible drone. Once mission is done,
submersible returns to ELEV-8, is resecurred, and the ELEV-8 takes off with the "torpedo" drone; Mission accomplished!
Good job on the floating ELEV-8!!!!

This little project only took about 30 minutes to prepare.

When Kyle (the Mech. Engineering Intern - Publison may have met him at USASEF) was working here over summer we were walking out of a grocery store with a couple of sandwiches and spotted those 6-foot long floaty things that kids use in swimming pools.

Just cut them up and strapped them to an ELEV-8 V2 and tested it out on the water a few minutes later.

That is so great. Too much fun. Was the video shot by a second quad?

That is cool... My sister recently bought a new house with a pond, looks like I'll have to try it now.

Why does the video almost look computer generated?

    I'm not sure, Andy. It's a real video and I flew the ELEV-8 V2.

Must be my old eyes. The color of the landing gear seems unrealistic. Time for an optometrist appointment!!!! It is quite cool though. I wonder if I can make a Wild Thumper run on water!!!!

OK guys, I know Ken is the boss and all, but shouldn't this post be in the Multi Rotors Sub Forum???? Just sayin!!!

The video was shot with a GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition mounted to a Tarot T-2D Gimbal on an otherwise stock ELEV-8 v2 that I fly. Sometime in the not-to distant future a project guide will be posted about how to set that up. The color correction of the footage somehow got a little messed up, which is why it looks slightly unrealistic.

You bet it should be, Andy! I'll see that it gets moved.
