We just concluded the Orrville DIY Mini Expo. We a a great time with 17 in attendance.

Parallax donated the bulk of the expo prizes this year.
We were also able to raise $180.00 from the raffle for the Orrville Library Summer Reading Program.

(The really cool part was there was a local young man (12 years old) who took home a BASIC stamp and a PE Kit. (and some other toys that folks gave him) He is excited about technology.
He's been learning DOS and BASIC on an old XT computer he found in the family attic about three months aog. We could barely tear him away from the MMC.

I know a couple of people took plenty of pictures, so I'll post links as soon as they are uploaded.

THANK YOU PARALLAX FOR HELPING MAKE THIS SHOW A SUCCESS!
You've also helped the local library, as well as probably started a young man an a possible career track.

Jeff

Glad to hear it went well!

As a new attendee to the first Boston Expo, I can attest that they are addictive! Can't wait for the next one.

And kudos to Parallax for supplying prizes. They were much appreciated in Boston also.

I was really fun to see a youngling playing with reto style computers and editing sprites and playing with the animations. He left with a great collection of Parallax based learning toys from the raffle. It was also fun to seem many oldlings pass ticket stubs to him as they put the other half in one of the raffle bags for another great educational opportunity.

Thanks Parallax, as always, even though I didn't win any raffles. This year it was much better to be on the giving side.
