@erco, how did you miss this one? So, as the title states, what is a Toddler worth on the open market these days? When I seen this I had to pounce on it. I think it will go real cool side by side with my Penguin!!!

In this case, $45 plus $7 shipping.
The joy of donating it to the erco memorial robot museum,

    PRICELESS!!

Better than that I think!!! Seller just advised me that since shipping came in less than what he posted he threw in another Ping Sensor. Now that's customer service only matched by none other than Parallax!!!

EDIT: Does anyone have a link to Toddler programs? Also, I may decide to outfit it with a Prop so if anyone has code for that I would appreciate a link to it. Thanks all.

Nice score, Andy! I must be snoozing. Too bad those Toddlers cause insomnia, halitosis, and bed wetting. You better rid yourself of it send it to me to avoid all those problems! :)

Funny thing is, I did not find it by searching for Parallax. I found it under robotics/business & industrial or the likes. I am thinking of giving it to my Grandson and Granddaughter as a Christmas present that we can all work on. My Granddaughter may not be too interested any more but I am sure my Grandson will be. He LOVES the Erector sets I have been buying for him and has done a little programming on a Scribbler first edition.

Heresy! No mods to that classic Toddler, please! Sure the Prop is great, but the BS2 is a perfect fit for the Toddler. Hacking to a Prop would be like me turning my '67 Corvair into an electric car.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeew! I have the SPCR on speed dial, I'll be watching your posts, Andy!

Just get the BS2 Toddler around a figure 8 course and I'll forgive & forget you ever mentioned this.

Nice score Andy! Welcome to the Toddler club.
I trust you'll have an appropriate name for the beastie! :-)

I wonder if that seller is the same Joshua Donelson that's a member here? Seems a likely coincidence.

Could be. Josh used to be a tech support guy at Parallax.

Jeepers, with all that, doing a figure 8 should be child's play! Be the first, Jim! :)

I had to remove it. It became an organ donor for certain Quadrover that arrived with out it's brains. (I think I'll call it Scarecrow).

Luck would have it, that Parallax sold these boards off a couple of years ago for half price. I bought two.

Why did Parallax discontinue this and the Penguin? I would think walking robots would be pretty interesting to work with compared with wheeled robots. Does anyone else sell this sort of robot?

I asked the seller and this is his response:
haha good guess, yeah I used to work in tech support from 2007-2010. We did stuff like QA for returns, trade shows, in-house training, documentation reviews and anything that needed help, the jack of all trades, really a dream job for sure. It was "the girl" is why I came to Colorado, and I couldn't do remote work like I do now for TNI. It was really great working there though, people and the time.

Speaking of walking robots, I'm getting an itchy "trigger finger" on my mouse hand. $46 biped frame kit (no servos or controller). Somebody stop me or better yet, beat me to it: buy it and let us know how it works.
