    The FPGA alone EP4CE115F23I7N, lists for $473 - Altera must have some deep discounts ?

    I see Lattice have a listed $199 Board, LFE5UM-85F-PB-EVN ( No stock yet )

    That has 84K LUT and 208 x 18kb BRAM, so the price curve there does not look too bad.
    They also have a parts with 24K LUT and 56 x 18kb BRAM & 45K LUT and 108 x 18kb BRAM
