Chromecast Root Method

There's a new Chromecast root method that's going to be released in a few weeks (http://forum.xda-developers.com/hardware-hacking/chromecast/root-chromecast-root-method-8-17-2014-t2850801), and the devs state that the root method is compatible only with the Teensy board, but they will release the source code. As a result, the root method will be portable to other boards. Would anybody be willing to port it to the P8X32A?

Sure, you could use a Propeller. Digital signals are all the same, after the all, regardless of the device that creates them.

That being said I'd watch out for the 3.3v -> 5v difference between the Propeller and Teensy. You may or may not have to use some form of voltage conversion. After that, it's mostly a matter of figuring out the method that they post before Google comes up with a blocking patch.

Rooting is getting around the dumb user safeguards and getting the "root" access on Linux based devices.
