WTB: LCD I2C board

I know I can order them from China (and see them sometime in October) the I2C module for used for 2 line LCD modules.
(In fact I'm ordering some)

But I really could use one now..

I don't think I have one myself, but Adafruit carries an I2C backpack.

I think a 74HC595 chip could also be used to control a parallel LCD with three I/O pins.
