Space Center Houston

I was recently in Houston with my grandson and we visited Space Center Houston. We took one of the tram tours, this one included at stop at Building 9, the Vehicle Mock-Up Assembly building. They have all kinds of mock-ups for training.

Anyway, I noticed these 3 guys sitting together...

And this guy was hanging around...

Interesting tour; we were there on Sunday, so no one was working. The other tram tour takes you to Mission Control, so I imagine a few people were milling around over there.

Great photos! I'd seen RoboNaut before, but never that Octo-Ped walker. It would be amazing to see a walking rover. Too bad wheels are so darned efficient. Very cool stuff!

I'd even settle for seeing an ultra-efficient crutch-based walker like Cornell's Ranger: http://ruina.tam.cornell.edu/research/topics/locomotion_and_robotics/ranger/Ranger2011/
