Did some Parallax shopping a while ago and was very positively surprised with the delivery speed to Finland. Order sent on 29 July and 5 August the package was in my mailbox having gone through customs, thus only 1 week from door to door.
The quite early birthday gift to myself included a Propcam, Emic2, EasyVR, XBee Wi-Fi, Veho speaker + some other smallish stuff.
Would be interesting to know if the EasyVR could understand Emic 2, with a pair of both we could create bots talking to each other. I know it's a silly idea but might be fun.
A bit similar as in http://hackaweek.com/hacks/?p=851 with added voice recognition and some kind of simple AI
BTW After sending my order I partly regretted it as I don't have any real plans for the stuff yet. But when seeing that Parallax again surprises us with making P1 open source, I'm happy to support them and be part of this great community.

I had a similar idea. This would possibly the least efficient robot to robot communication technique but I also think it would be fun.
I look forward to seeing what you do with your parts.
