See You At DEF CON 22

Looking forward to seeing some forum friends at DC22. I'll be easy to spot with my DC22 IronMac shield for the badge. It has 10 WS2812 LEDs, high-power IR out, IR in, and four buttons. I have a few built-up spares, and several bare boards that I will have to sell while there.

I was priveleged to be part of the badge design team. We had a goal to make the badge useful after DC22 was over, so we added unpopulated headers for all Propeller IO and for power. The IronMac Shield is intended to inspire other hackers to do fun things with the badge. Which the can, by the way, because we were careful to put the headers on 100mil centers in both dimensions. We hope a few motivated people will grab some perfboard and hack the badge into something fun.

See you Vegas!

I'm missing ScareLA this weekend, as well! Too many cool events, too few weekends to hold them all!

I didn't mark the board, but did want to put something on the back, so I got a little cheeky.

    Hey Jon.

If you need any support at all you know how to reach me (gmail or hangouts). Staying home this time (instead of enjoying myself in Las Vegas LOL) has the advantage of full access to development resources.

And Internet! We're staying well away from Rio in a hotel with WIRED Internet -- computers have WiFi and Bluetooth disabled. Just sayin'.....

Avoid the Hampton Inn on St. Rose Pkwy.. Major renovation, musty feel like a bad Ho-Jo's. Plus you get to pay extra for broadband internet access. Down the Street a short ways to what until last week was a Wyndham property for excellence. Just a few blocks from St Rose Sienna Hospital in Henderson. Clean, bright, excellent guest staff. Really liked it. Far enough to be quiet, not hard to get to everything, and fast internet. Netflix worked fine the little bit I had time for..... Dang, If I had paid attention I could have scheduled my CT PM and tube change (eh, maybe not the tube change from the sound of the rotor) better to coincide with this event instead of being there last week........:(
