Hey all,

Chip and I have the best team anywhere. There's not a person in our office who doesn't understand the business, who doesn't see value in what others contribute, and what's possible with a team who communicates well over their plans.

Recently, our company was recognized by the California Manufacturer's Technology Association as a "Champion of Manufacturing". Our manufacturing staff attended a special recognition in Sacramento and Jen Fabrizio (our manufacturing and inventory manager) spoke about the company.

There's also a boring dude talking corporate business propaganda somewhere in this video. Ignore him because the real action happens in manufacturing and he doesn't run any machines.

    Congratulations, Parallax!

I've been reading Daniel James Brown's The Boys in the Boat. It's about the University of Washington's eight-man (plus coxswain) rowing crew who went to the Berlin Olympics in 1936. The saga reminds me a lot of Parallax. The common thread is how to mold and harness diverse individual talents into a smooth-running, winning team. That Parallax has been successful in this regard is an understatement. With Ken as head coach and coxswains directing Parallax's various departments, they've managed not only to pull their oars in unison, but to seize the rewards and awards for their concerted efforts.

Hats off to Jen Fabrizio and her manufacturing crew for this well-deserved recognition!

Aww, sheesh, I don't handle compliments will Mr. Pilgrim but thank you very much. I am basically a male cheerleader, but what makes my job very easy is a super team.

Tomorrow morning I'll get to show another manufacturing success by Jen Fabrizio. Her crew just finished making 14,000 Propeller-based circuits that shall be widely distributed over the weekend. They took this project from concept, design, prototype, to completed production in less than 58 days - truly unreal results.

Congrats to Ken, Chip and the whole team!

It is rare for a company such as Parallax to have grown over the years into a successful company and still retain its close connection to its customers. Well done.
